Description:

You are registering for a Missouri State EMT Examination sanctioned by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services Bureau of EMS.  By signing up for this examination, you understand that you must have completed and EMT Training Course or refresher through a Missouri EMT Training Program approved by the Missouri Bureau of EMS within the past 2 years.

Missouri EMT-B Psychomotor Examinations are closed to anyone outside of the state. The NIEMT Psychomotor Examination is a Missouri test only and we do not allow other states to test in Missouri. If you are coming from the Army, Air Force, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy or similar, please contact the Missouri Bureau of EMS to check for special considerations. 



The Missouri EMT Basic exam will consist of either a Medical or Trauma Assessment and up to 3 skills stations for your Initial Examination.

You will receive an email the Monday before the Exam with a scheduled test time. Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time for registration.



Practical scores are send to your EMT-B Training facility or school and are posted for all testers by their instructors / program coordinators ONLY if they are properly registered with NREMT. Click Here to make sure you are registered with NREMT.



Same Day Retesting:
According to the Bureau of EMS, careful considerations must be made the day of the test before NIEMT can commit to a same day retest. The employees at NIEMT will make every effort possible at every exam to hold retests.

SITE RULES FOR MISSOURI STATE EMT-B TESTING
1. Student must present a picture ID to registration at the time of testing.
2. No cell phones or any electronic devices will be allowed at the test site. Please leave all such devices in the car or at home.
3. No study materials or EMS related materials will be allowed in the testing site, they must be left in the car or at home. An unrelated book or magazine is acceptable.
4. Students will be allowed to go smoke if smoking is permitted or use the restroom one at a time after checking in with registration.
5. No school or work logo/name allowed on clothing during test. Please dress in casual clothing or your EMS uniform with a T-Shirt or solid polo.

Cancellation/ Refund Policy

Exams are subject to cancellation due to insufficient enrollment or bad weather. If this occurs you will be given one week notice and a refund or the option to transfer your payment to a future exam.

If you need to cancel your registration, you must do so at least one week in advance to receive a refund. NIEMT will not provide a refund for any reason if the test times have already been scheduled. Transfers can be made one time if you give 72 hours' notice. All other cancellations made after 72 hours will be dealt with on a case by case basis, usually requiring appropriate documentation of the reason for cancellation.


GROUNDS FOR DISMISSAL OF THE PSYCHOMOTOR EXAMINATION

A candidate who violates NIEMT's Exam policies, or the test facilities regulations or rules, or engages in irregular behavior, misconduct and/or does not follow the test administrator's warning to discontinue inappropriate behavior may be dismissed from the test site. Exam fees for candidates dismissed from a test center will not be refunded. Additionally, your exam results may be withheld or canceled. Behaviors that are considered to constitute irregular behavior or misconduct include but are not limited to:

  • Giving or receiving assistance of any kind during an exam.
  • Using, accessing, or attempting to access any prohibited items. Prohibited items are any devices or materials that will be helpful in taking the EMT-B Psychomotor exam. Examples of aids that are prohibited include electronic devices (e.g. cell/mobile/smart phones, tablets, smart watches, etc.), study materials etc. 
  • Attempting to take the examination for someone else.
  • Accessing or attempting to access such study materials at any time after entering the testing facility.
  • Failing to follow testing regulations or the instructions of the test administrator.
  • Creating a disturbance of any kind.

Candidates are not permitted to disclose or discuss with anyone, including instructors, information about the exam scenarios. (This includes posting or discussing questions on the Internet and social media websites).

Reconstructing exam items using your memory of your exam or the memory of others is prohibited.

Candidates are not permitted to remove examination materials or notes about the examination from the testing center.
