EMT TESTING

 The Missouri EMT Basic exam will consist of either a Medical or Trauma Assessment and up to 3 skills stations for your Initial Examination.

Important Information

You will receive an email the Monday before the Exam with a scheduled test time. Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time for registration.

Practical scores are sent to your EMT-B Training facility or school and are posted for all testers by their instructors / program coordinators ONLY if they are properly registered with NREMT. Click Here to make sure you are registered with NREMT.

Same Day Retesting:

According to the Bureau of EMS, careful considerations must be made the day of the test before NIEMT can commit to a same day retest. The employees at NIEMT will make every effort possible at every exam to hold retests.

SITE RULES FOR MISSOURI STATE EMT-B TESTING

1. Student must present a picture ID to registration at the time of testing.

2. No cell phones or any electronic devices will be allowed at the test site. Please leave all such devices in the car or at home.

3. No study materials or EMS related materials will be allowed in the testing site, they must be left in the car or at home. An unrelated book or magazine is acceptable.

4. Students will be allowed to go smoke if smoking is permitted or use the restroom one at a time after checking in with registration.

5. No school or work logo/name allowed on clothing during test. Please dress in casual clothing or your EMS uniform with a T-Shirt or solid polo.

Cancellation/ Refund Policy

Exams are subject to cancellation due to insufficient enrollment or bad weather. If this occurs you will be given one week  notice (unless weather related) and a refund or the option to transfer your payment to a future exam.

If you need to cancel your registration, you must do so at least one week in advance to receive a refund. NIEMT will not provide a refund for any reason if the test times have already been scheduled. To cancel your examination please contact stephanie@niemt.com

Transfers can be made one time if you give 72 hours' notice. All other cancellations made after 72 hours will be dealt with on a case by case basis, usually requiring appropriate documentation of the reason for cancellation.

HeartCode BLS is the AHA’s BLS blended learning delivery method. Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner, followed by a hands-on skills session.

ACLS For Healthcare Providers

ACLS is geared towards healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies or personnel in emergency response. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years. Please contact your employer to ensure that you are selecting the correct course.

PALS for Healthcare Providers

PALS is geared towards healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children and for personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years. Please contact your employer to ensure that you are selecting the correct course.

Heartsaver CPR/First Aid

Heartsaver courses are designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, regulatory (for example, OSHA), or other requirements. Are the Heartsaver courses right for me? Heartsaver courses are ideal for workforce employees (for example construction, childcare, health & fitness, hospitality, and more) or for those who want to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.

The goal of the PEARS Provider Course is to improve outcomes for pediatric patients by preparing healthcare providers in assessment, early recognition, prompt communication, and initial intervention in patients with respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest by using high-performance team dynamics.

ACLS For The Experienced Provider

The AHA’s ACLS EP Course is designed for those who are proficient in performing BLS and ACLS skills, reading and interpreting ECGs, understanding ACLS pharmacology; and who regularly lead or participate in emergency assessment and treatment of prearrest, arrest, or postarrest patients.
